Members of the KISU team have attended a social media workshop at the Rose Theatre in Kingston which took place on Tuesday, March 8 2022.

The event was hosted by Emma Peries from Digital Mother in partnership with Kingston First and was targeted at businesses and entrepreneurs in Kingston to help enhancing their online presence, promoting their brand and subsequently increasing trade & sales.

"The workshop was really well received by the Kingston First participants... it was an interactive session, so I would teach and then the attendees would implement the work on their profiles," Peries said.

Members from several trade sectors in Kingston were present at the event, including staff members from retail stores, cafes & restaurants, as well as members of the marketing & management team from the Bentall Centre.

Becky Greaves, a freelancer social media consultant attending the workshop, said: “I really enjoyed Emma’s workshop…. I picked up lots of great advice.”

This was a free-entry event promoted by Kingston First, a non-governmental organisation which works promoting the Kingston town centre as a shopping & leisure destination.

The company aims to continue releasing further training opportunities available for its members in Kingston, and requests that participants visit their website to register and book their place in advance.
