Vladimir Burkov, 22, an international student from Russia said: “As an international student from Russia, I feel incredibly ashamed to say that I come from a country that Putin controls. He makes such reckless decisions which mean nothing but harm. It is all so condescending and distressing. However, I feel scared, as a student, alone, here, I am absolutely afraid of what is going to happen next. It has taken a toll over my mental health.”
